ABOUT ARTIST
Born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan, Mariam Zehra moved to Los Angeles, California in 2014.
She creates modern art that incorporates Islamic reminders. Her work combines abstract art with Arabic calligraphy to create statement pieces that will speak to your spiritual core and find a place in your heart right away!
Mariam started her artistic journey in 2016 as a self-taught “Graphic Designer”. Despite a degree in business, her love for Arabic calligraphy and Islamic art inspired her to begin a career as a Muslim Artist.
Mariam’s journey into the world of canvas and brushes first started in 2019 when she began studying Arabic Calligraphy. Her journey is ongoing as she continues to learn, explore and experiment with complex techniques, bold textures, and mesmerizing colors.
